The PEDRO Icon Summer capsule is back for 2024; and it brought a new poolside companion. Here’s welcoming the humble canvas to the party.
PEDRO is adding canvas into its mix. Given that a large majority of the local label’s offerings are fashioned in premium fabrication — leather, to be precise — the inclusion of blank canvas for its PEDRO Icon Summer 2024 collection marks PEDRO’s exploration of summertime’s affinity for the relaxed. It is a notch up from the brand’s continued pursuit of effortless cool, but still enduring are its iconographic motifs — including the PEDRO Icon crest and full functionality reiterated across the summer capsule.
Canvas appears in newly realised iterations of its tote and sling bags, lined along swathes of cognac-toned calf leather. One will still find PEDRO’s smart-casual staples within the summer release: low-profile leather sneakers and Loop leather penny loafers follow in the footsteps to embrace the collection’s warm hues of cream, black and buttery tan.
If this season’s bare canvas is the basis for heatwave-approved elegance, canvas again acts as the baseline for the self-expression of PEDRO’s creatives of choice. Fashion designer Yan Li and choreographer Akti Konstantinou front the latest PEDRO ICON collection, championing their versions of individuality in the campaign — where one will find sneak peeks to new additions like bucket hats, canvas-detailed loafers and more. To see it for yourself, PEDRO will be hosting a pop-up event from 20-26 May at Marina Bay Sands. Expect to be transported into an urban oasis with a set-up that encompasses lush natural elements and the brand’s signature cool metal adornments, and prizes like tote bags, discount vouchers and gelato to be won.
