Yes, its official. Haider Ackermann has indeed taken over Alessandro Sartori as Creative Director of Berluti. At first thought, Haider Ackermann – beloved by critics for his distinctive draped silhouettes and deeply romantic womenswear shows – contrasts with Berluti’s modern gentleman aesthetics and history in making of fine footwear. Haider Ackermann says that he has “a story to tell” though, which only means it’s extremely exciting to imagine what he might have up his sleeves. 

Haider Ackermann will present his first collection during Paris Men’s Fashion Week in January 2017. We can’t wait.
